Hotel De La Tour Case to be Appealed

Not unexpectedly we learn that HMRC have sought leave to appeal this case to the Court of Appeal.

The Upper Tribunal decision which we reported earlier:

Share sale costs - can VAT on deal costs now be reclaimed? 

will be further explored by the Court of Appeal as HMRC looks to prevent it being used as the basis for VAT recovery on related costs in this area.
