South Wales Chamber – Liz hands over Chamber President role

13.02.2018

As many will know Liz Maher one of our Directors has been fulfilling the role as South and Mid Wales Chamber of Commerce President. The two year term ended in December 2017 and Liz has handed over the President’s role to Harri Lloyd-Davies, a Partner with Bevan & Buckland Accountants in Swansea.

In Liz’s own words:

“These last two years have given me a tremendous insight into the importance of the interaction of the Chamber with local and national government organisations. Centurion has been a member of the Chamber for over a decade because it’s been an organisation that provides us with access to real business support as a growing SME business. In addition I’ve always valued the events programme that the Chamber puts on throughout the year. Local events for members to connect at, information events on topical issues HR, IT, Business Compliance related or events to enable SME Businesses across Wales to engage with Welsh and UK politicians and policy makers whether on the impact of Making Tax Digital, BREXIT, Heathrow Hub plans, Infrastructure Plans, The City Deals to name a few".

"It’s been a pleasure to work with and support the Chamber Team over these last two years and hopefully work to ensure that the profile of the Chamber and the vital work that it does for members is recognised across all sectors.  With the Business Awards Gala Dinner on the 8th March in Cardiff City Hall I hope to meet with the many friends in business that this role has enabled me to develop over my time as President. “
