New deadline for March paper VAT Returns

If you are due to submit a paper VAT Return for the period ending 31 March 2011, the deadline has been brought forward because of the bank holiday for the Royal Wedding on 29 April. You must send your paper VAT Return to arrive with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) no later than Thursday 28 April. If you pay by cheque, it must clear HMRC’s account by the same date. Cheques take three bank working days to clear - bank working days are Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.
