Energy Saving Materials VAT Reliefs - Changes announced

10.01.2024

There was VAT news out in December on the planned changes to the Energy Saving Materials VAT rules. These changes are due in from the 1st February 2024.

We circulated a VAT newsletter at the time covering the planned changes but if you do not receive VAT content from us you can still read the update which is posted on our Xeinadin Group blog page through this link

The changes will create VAT savings opportunities for many of our clients in charities, housing associations or private property landlords, so it will be well worth understanding what is to change.

Equally, for those involved in the supply and installation of the newly expanded list of qualifying Energy Saving Materials it will be important to understand the situations in which your supplies will fall to be Zero Rated from the 1st Feb 2024.

If help is required on the VAT liabilities on Energy Saving Materials then do get in contact with us here at Centurion - Xeinadin's in-house VAT specialist team - by emailing your usual VAT contact here or dropping us a note on IndirectTax@Xeinadin.com

This note is for information only and specific advice should always be sought.
